Live Journal – It’s the Future

Things are starting to get very busy this end, and although that’s a good thing ultimately, it means that for now we’re a bit strapped for time! The registration system, is as always nearing completion, and we’re drafting up some preliminary advertisements and flyers that will be brought to life as soon as we announce our resident artist.

This week’s biggest announcement however, is that of our latest way of keeping you up to date and that is through our brand new, and very cool Live Journal account. We realised, that since a lot of you used Live Journal, that we should really hop on over there and make ourselves known! We’ll be posting all the updates you find here, but if you are not a Live Journal fan, please remember that you can still keep up to date with all the updates via these accounts: Twitter, FA, UKFur boards and of course our website!

Please let us know what you think of our new Live Journal account, and stay tuned for more awesome information coming soon.

Bagpipes and artwork?

Well, now that some of you are checking out our website regularly on Thursdays, you probably know what this message is about – weekly update time!

As usual, we’re very busy here over at ScotiaCon and although a lot is getting done, we don’t want to overwhelm you with all the surprises just yet so we’ll take it little by little. To start off, we’re very excited to say that we should be very close to announcing who our official resident artist is. We just need to finalise a few more details, but hopefully they should be bringing their own awesome style to ScotiaCon 2011. Keep your eyes peeled for more information. Our registration system is getting closer and closer to completion each day, and we have to say, it’s looking nice and shiny – but most importantly safe and reliable – and we should be announcing some more details to do with that in the coming weeks. If you haven’t noticed, we’ve added a little sidebar notification that shows the status of registration, how many places have been booked and are still available and also any staff vacancies we have. Hopefully you’ll find this nice and handy for a quick update when visiting the website.

To finish off with, we’ll leave you with a little teaser – our musical virtuoso Guest of Honour Fox Amoore has begun work on an official theme tune for ScotiaCon 2011! We are both very humbled and excited about this and like you (hopefully) we can’t wait to hear it.
Keep posting to let us know your thoughts, we’d appreciate them!
