Guests of Honour
Our Guests of Honor for 2012 are two of the biggest, most popular and talented artists currently on FA and arguably, in the furry fandom. Aside from this, they’re incredibly humble, down to earth – and an insanely adorable couple. We don’t envy them at all…no…not one bit…
Kaji
Kaji is a 27 year old illustrator, concept artist and designer from Nuremberg, Germany and of course, also living with Nimrais. Kaji is currently working as an art director in a large, successful customer relationship management agency after finishing his studies in 2008.
Influenced by artists like Heather ‘Kyoht’ Luterman over the years, Kaji decided to start dawing anthropomorphic-themed art in 2003 and quickly burst onto the furry scene.
Known for his stirkingly realistic
representation and dynamic angles, most of his works are commissions but he also produces artwork for other conventions like Eurofurence, the RARE Anthro Calendar and cover artworks for the graphic novel ‘Heathen City’.
Nimrais
“Everything began when I discovered “Anthropomorphic Wildlife Art” back in 2001, which was the perfect mix between animal, nature, a bit fantasy and human realism for me. And what once was my favorite hobby, now is what I do for a living.”
Nimrais is a 25 year old female illustrator living near Nuremberg, Germany with her boyfriend – Kaji. A couple for 8 years now, they got to know each other through the furry fandom.
Nimrais is mostly a self-taught artist – she had been drawing since she could hold a pencil. From the get-go, she was always pretty creative and enjoyed not only drawing but many other activities like crafting, photography, music and design. Today, she’s a professionally trained Media Designer holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Design who currently works as a self-employed illustrator and graphic designer. Besides that, she supports the Eurofurence staff as the head of the decoration team and works for the RARE Anthro Calendar as a participating artist and web designer.

On a more personal level, NImrais says that she found her passion for drawing animals way back when she was a kid. Growing up with dogs, she says she still feels a deep emotional connection to those wonderful animals and had many pets over the years – guinea pigs, dogs, rats, gerbils. Now, she shares her life with two wonderful ex-stray dogs, Dina and Henry.
